The Lore Family consists of Darren, Sandy and their two children, Fayth and Samuel. They reside in the southern city of Portsmouth, Ohio. Over the past several years, The Lore Family have ministered in hundreds of services. Although the churches and venues have been diverse, most have been very receptive to the message shared. Most pastors find it very comforting to know that this down-to-earth family understands the blessings and burdens of serving a congregation. Darren has been Senior pastor of two congregations within the last 20 years. He first pastored a church in Huntington, WV for 6 years. He later pastored Seventh Street Christian Baptist Church for 14 years, resigning in February of 2014.
The Lore Family launched out into radio and digital ministry on March 6, 2009. Their first national release was the title cut of their first project, An Absolutely Good Day, Since that day, the tight, family harmony of The Lore’s, along with anointed, Bible-based originals have earned the group the recognition as an up-an-coming, new artist. The Lore Family have recorded three projects at Daywind Studios in Nashville, Tn. Their latest project, Mt. Testimony, was produced by Matthew Browder and Donna King. Their signature release, An Absolutely Good Day, is still popular at most events. It has been the theme song at WCNW in Fairfield/Cincinnati area for over two years! The family’s fourth radio single, Come On and Praise Him became the groups first top 80 in the Singing News chart. It reached #44 and remained in the charts for three months. It is still being played, nation-wide. Wait For the Dust to Settle was the family’s second top 80 in the Singing News, reaching #64. Unspeakable Joy peaked at #100 on the Singing News charts. An Absolutely Good Day, Come On and Praise Him, Your Love Has Never Failed Me and Wait For the Dust to Settle all reached #1 on the Radio Active Airplay chart. Unspeakable Joy reached #2 on that chart. Also, The Lore Family have had songs chart in the Gospel Music Today. Although charts and awards are honoring, The Lore Family understands that charts come and go. Their main purpose for radio ministry is to give a message of hope and encouragement to seekers and believers. Besides studio projects, The Lore Family also have two Camp Meeting Friends projects that were produced live in 2011 and 2012. These two-hour long CD/DVD’s bring some old-fashioned, camp meeting style worship and praise right into the homes of the viewers! As the Lord blesses, The Lore Family will continue to record and release quality, anointed Southern Gospel Music.
A visit of our photo gallery will show how the Lore Family has grown through the years. As the family has physically matured, they have sought to grow spiritually and artistically in the music and evangelistic ministry. Keep listening and watching The Lore Family Ministry. They ask you to include them on your prayer list and consider inviting them to your congregation or next venue. They would love to celebrate Christ and share their ministry with you!
